Bet Bash Recap

I feel as though, much like my Bet Bash panel, I am set to disappoint many of you reading. I’m telling you from the jump, I don’t have too many insults to throw around, nor has gambling Twitter provided much content of note. I was taking in this week’s Risk Takers Pod with Gina Fiore (sup?) as the guest, and early in the episode, they briefly mentioned how awful/toxic/generally bad sports betting Twitter has always been. Not only do I agree with the sentiment, but I’ve very much been a part of it in the past. But it also felt off - because I truly haven’t felt that way about the space in some time. I could be way off, but to me, it feels like so much of the animosity is gone. Why is it gone? I don’t know, your guess is as good as mine. 2026 Sports Betting Superlatives

  Back in college, I was in a business fraternity. I never joined a regular fraternity because I wasn’t a meathead loser who wanted to spend money to hang out with other meathead losers and act like hazing was super fun and cool. And before the “regular” frat guys chime in with how they’re not all like that and your frat was full of chill dudes - I get it. There are exceptions to every rule. By and large, at my university, frat guys lived up to every single stereotype. Back to the business fraternity. It was co-ed, had a great blend of social and professional gatherings, and is probably the only reason I ever got my shit together. It’s also the reason I ended up working for a massive corporation putting me on the brink of a full-blown meltdown with a side of severe depression. You win some, you lose some. Gambling.com group? More like scumbags.com group.

 Title of Blog is a work in progress. Before we dive into this nonsense, I want to make a few things clear: I don't expect any of this to make an actual difference.  If you go through life thinking there are going to be consequences for bad actors, I got some beachfront property to sell you in Topeka. If we've learned anything, it's that these scumbags will probably find a way to get rewarded for their scumbaggery. Please don't respond with "yeah no shit Ferris, of course the gambling.com group is terrible, what a waste of time."  Do not tell me how to waste my time. Earlier this week, I spent 2.5 hours watching the movie Sinners.  I will choose how I waste my time, thank you. I really do care about fellow sports bettors, especially those in Ohio.  I'm super sarcastic. I don't take many things seriously.
