I'm so bored. It's the middle of July, we've hit the two days in the calendar year where zero major sports are playing, and there's just nothing to do. I see that Rob and Johnny are planning a low-effort, middle of summer Q&A episode for this week's Circles Off. That'll at least kill an hour or so. Unfortunately, video games have passed me by and I can't get excited for the new NCAA release. Even though I claimed for 20 years that this day would never come and I would always love video games, I've thrown in the towel. The player base got too good, the game controls got too advanced, and obviously, other life priorities get in the way. But I'll say this much - if any of you want to bring a N64 to Bet Bash and enter the Thunderdome, I'll beat your ass in Goldeneye, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Perfect Dark, or Mario Party. What a fantastic show - the story arcs, character development, weaving of previous season plots into future episodes, acting...it was all incredible. But more importantly, I finally have context into the Twitter memes I pretended like I understood (Stringer Bell "We back up," Wee-Bey shocked face, "Price of the brick going up," "Omar comin'"). Now I can nod along knowingly when one random, anonymous Twitter troll bodies another anonymous, random Twitter troll with a Wire reference. And these days, it really does feel like the theme of how so many are living their lives. This especially rings true in the sports betting space. Every time we step into the chaos that is Gambling Twitter, we find ourselves face to face with people that are spewing the same shit, day after day. I guess it's not the worst thing - contributors have to reinforce their brand and what they stand for. But when they're spewing nonsense and have the chance to influence others with this nonsense, well, it just wears us down faster than usual. Some of it goes unchecked, some of it gets constant pushback.  If someone continues to speak something into existence, and we continue to let it go unchecked, people start nodding al...

I have many, many terrible qualities. I don't always follow through with things after I've deemed them unimportant (lol I said I was going to write 1-2 blogs per week), even if others do still find the thing important. I hold grudges - forever. I've written this before, but I have an incredibly detailed memory. I believe in forgiving, but never forgetting. Which eventually ends with very short-lived forgiveness. I hold others to unrealistic standards when it comes to things like attention to detail and timeliness. Those are two qualities I value deeply, and I expect others to show me the same courtesy. When they don't, I don't handle it as well as I should. But above all, my worst quality is how much I enjoy someone else having to eat crow. I absolutely love it. When someone was up on their soapbox acting "holier than thou" and being so morally superior to everyone else, only to find out they aren't any different than you or me, well.....it just warms ...

The first iPhone was released, Drew Carey was taking over The Price is Right for the legendary Bob Barker (RIP), and one of the first viral videos was making the rounds on YouTube. 2 girls, 1 cup quickly became an internet sensation - not just for the horrific content that was produced in that short clip, but also for the reactions of people being filmed watching the video for the first time. No, I will not be linking the video as I do not wish to make it easier for anyone to find such a scarring display of fetishes.
